Barry Fixler
Author of Semper Cool
After graduating from Syosset High School in Long Island, New York, BARRY FIXLER enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp and was shipped off to Vietnam where he fought as a member of Echo Company at the legendary Siege of Khe Sanh. He is now a jeweler living in Bardonia, New York, with his wife Linda.
In 2005 a surveillance camera in his jewelry store captured a point-blank gunfight between Barry and two armed robbers. You can watch the footage on this page, or on YouTube.
Barry donates all of his proceeds from Semper Cool to physically wounded combat veterans through his non-profit foundation, The Barry Fixler Foundation.
