Submission Guidelines
Submission Guidelines:
Exalt Press is now open to submissions. We’re primarily seeking book-length manuscripts from 65,000 to 120,000 words in length. We will consider shorter works (novellas and singles) when they’re proposed as a series.
Keep in mind that we give more weight to story and voice than spelling, grammar and punctuation. If you hired a freelance editor to “polish” your manuscript you’ll probably be better served submitting the unedited version of your writing to us.
We’re interested in the following categories/genres:
Nonfiction: military history/memoirs/business (sales/marketing)/ health (anti-aging/anti-cancer)
Fiction: thriller/horror (apocalyptic/dystopian/futurisitc)
1. Submissions should include a short cover letter (contact info and brief bio), synopsis, word count, table of contents and a small writing sample (preferably the first and last chapters).
2. Do NOT send complete manuscripts. We’ll contact you if we’re interested in reading an entire manuscript.
3. Email your submission as an attachment to info@exaltpress.com or use the form below. If you are submitting multiple manuscripts submit each separately.
4. Response time: We acknowledge receipt of submissions but we do not send rejection letters. If we’re interested, we’ll usually request more information from you within 30 days. If we pass on your submission it’s not necessarily based on the quality of your work; it may simply mean that it’s not a good fit for us, and that should in no way imply that we feel your work isn’t suitable for publication.
