Barry showed a video of his Valentine’s Day shootout then discussed how the attempted robbery led to a fundraiser for Sgt. Eddie Ryan and ultimately inspired his book, which is a fundraiser for wounded veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. The event was a huge success with a lively question and answer session. After the event Barry accepted donations for signed advanced copies of Semper Cool and raised a total of $250 for wounded veterans. The event was coordinated by Dr. Thomas Nardi of Long Island University.
